As an experienced online marketer with a strong interest in the mobile Internet I have been watching this space for years. I lived in Japan for a couple of years, where mobile usage was prolific and futuristic. Then, whilst working at Hitwise I witnessed a remarkable integrated mobile marketing campaign run by Hard Yakka. I was inspired. My interests and experience go beyond mobile marketing, but I think it’s the future. My name is Alex Avery and this is one of my sites.

M.obilemarketing.com is a site about mobile marketing from that space between the consumer and the business. I’m not a developer and I’m not trying to flog you anything. Although, do feel free to request my help.

M.obilemarketing.com is a space where I can wax lyrical about campaigns, technologies and developments - both past and present - to give my two cents on clarity in the mobile marketing space. Consumers take the shortest path to fulfilling a need. Businesses seek to provide that fulfillment.

As very few businesses have inhouse expertise on mobile, many rely on agencies to provide this expertise. Take a pinch of salt. It’s early days. There are sharks in the water. Talk to me if you’d like some independent advice on mobile marketing.
